Long
Banners - Copper and Enamel Earrings
Thin rectangle shaped copper has been run through a rolling mill before the enamel was put on. I used a layered combination of
dark rose, robin's egg, citron and a cracked, metallic splash to create this type of long
banner design. The enamel I use is a vitreous powdered glass, which I torch fired in order to
make the glass melt and create a smooth, colorful surface. The reverse sides are
bare copper that have patina on them, thus lending an "aged" look.
* Enamel drops approx: 1-3/4"
* Earring drop length approx: 2"
* Handmade 14k gold-filled earwires
