A robin's egg blue was sifted through a lacy fabric to create a
"quilted" texture on this copper disk. I used vitreous powdered glass enamel, which I torch fired in order to
make the glass melt and become smooth on the metal. I also enameled the
reverse side with clear for added stability. The ring overlay
was hand- tooled from fine silver and compliments the cool shade of the enamel
perfectly.
